FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.8.0_60"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_60-b27)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.60-b23, mixed mode)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11
Darwin 15.0.0 Darwin Kernel Version 15.0.0: Wed Aug 26 16:57:32 PDT 2015; root:xnu-3247.1.106~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The default buttons within OS X are a graduated blue gradient and white text. The JRE is producing a close approximation with buttons a little deeper blue but contains black text rendering the buttons harder to read.
This can be observed by going to System Preferences > Java. In the "Java Control Panel" that appears, take note of the "OK" button, note also in this same screen that the tabs at the top do render correctly with white text for the focussed tab.
This also applies to the depressed state of a button, meaning; clicking and holding a button will depress the button with the blue colour but the text is black.
ADDITIONAL REGRESSION INFORMATION:
Only OS X 10.11 is affected, 10.10 was fine.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Go to System Preferences > Java. In the "Java Control Panel" that appears, take note of the "OK" button, note also in this same screen that the tabs at the top do render correctly with white text for the focussed tab.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
OK button should appear with white text.
ACTUAL -
OK buttons appears with black text.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Visual problem only.
