FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.66-b17, mixed mode)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Linux AbbyArch 4.2.5-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Oct 27 08:13:28 CET 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
When using a DatePicker, if you do not press enter/return upon changing the text in the Textfield, it fails to update the DatePicker's value. this can lead to an incorrect value if the value was changed after it was originally set using the button to set the date. additionally it will return a null value if you only used the TextField to enter the date and did not press enter/return after after entering the text.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1) create a window with a DatePicker
2) set a date using only the text field, DO NOT press enter.
3) print the value of the DatePicker (datepicker.getValue())
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
a LocalDate equal to to the date in textfield
ACTUAL -
null value
