FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 25.66-b18, mixed mode, sharing)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Microsoft Windows XP SP2 version 5.1.2600]
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Since upgrading to JDK 8u66 from 8u51basics JavaFX application cannot be packaged and launched on Windows XP anymore (tested on 2 differents PC).
So for reproduce simply create and show a basic/minimalist JavaFX application.
If the application is packaged to a native application with a .exe file the message is that the app : "is not a valid win32 application".
If the application is packaged as simple jar and launched with jdk 8u66 I get the exception given in the crash section.
I tested with both Ant target and the javafx-maven-plugin. Everything's fine on 8u51 but not in 8u66. I read from other issues that some changes happened in the packager since 8u60. This could be the cause of the problem.
REGRESSION. Last worked in version 8u51
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Create a minimalist JavaFX app
2. Package it as self-contained application (with .exe file) with ant task and simply with the javafx-maven-plugin
3. Try to run it on Windows XP
ACTUAL -
An error popup when launching the executable : the application is not a valid win32 application.
