A fix for the following bug has just been pushed into the jdk9 Hotspot repo:

The bug has a verification test attached to the report by the SAP engineers.
I sponsored the fix and used the test to verify the 8034867 fix provided by the SAP.
This enhancement is to integrate the test from bug report as an SQE test base test.
