A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
I had to upgrade Java for Processing and had trouble closing windows. I filed a report here already: https://github.com/processing/processing/issues/4500

However, I noticed, that it's not Processing but all Java applications. Netbeans has the same trouble now, such that I closed it and the window remains in the dock (with "force close" in the menu, which doesn't work either). When trying to re-open Netbeans, it says, an instance is already running. Unfortunately, I'm not able to spot the process in the task manager or `ps` and as such, I can't kill it the hard way. Even restarting the computer doesn't work, as it's waiting for the process to die. The only solution so far is turning off the computer via power switch.

REGRESSION. Last worked in version 8u73

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
