Starting from jdk9 b130, we have painting issues on Ubuntu Unity.
For instance, this test javax/swing/JPopupMenu/6415145/bug6415145.java reports that selected item is not being updated -- but there's nothing in the JFrame, a JButton is not painted, there's no popup menu and nothing to select. A similar issue I observed yesterday with a new test java/awt/image/multiresolution/MultiResolutionIcon/IconTest.java .
