The tasks required to implement this JEP include:
1. Move the close hotspot/src/cpu/arm/vm sources from closed
repositories to the open repository and adjust copyrights.
2. Remove the static interpreter support from Hotspot
3. Adjust the Makefiles to allow building the ARM sources from the open.
4. Add a new configure option that provides the selection of hotspot source directory to be used for the building of 64-bit aarch64 binaries.
5. Send out reviews to openjdk including the hotspot team aliases.
6. Once all approvals have been completed, do a final merge and test all
ARM build combinations.
7. Integrate changes into one of the hotspot forests in order to take advantage of their nightly testing.
As of 12/1/2016, all tasks with the exception of item 6 and 7 have been completed. The final merge is in process.
