The jdk.vm.compiler module (i.e., Graal) is only available in jdk9 binaries on linux-x86_64 as that's the only platform for with jdk.aot is currently enabled. To enable broader experimentation with using Graal as an alternative to C2, Graal should be made available on all platforms that Graal currently supports.
