A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The installer assets aren't optimized for Hi-DPI displays and only display at low resolution. The results in a poor customer experience because the installer does not look as if it is properly constructed for the platform.

This is exacerbated by the comparison with the properly rendered text.

Both the disk image splash screen and the installer itself have @1x graphics and are missing @2x versions.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Download the installer from java.com
Open the disk image. Weep at the visible pixels on the screen.
Open the installer. Notice more pixels.


EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Open disk image, beautiful splash screen looks proper for the platform that you're installing it on.
ACTUAL -
Low resolution graphics look sad.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
