      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
      C:\Users\JohnsonH>java -version
      java version "1.8.0_141"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_141-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.141-b15, mixed mode)

      ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
      Windows 6.3.9600

      EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
      OOTB configuration

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
I launched and installed 1.8.0_141 and uninstalled the previous .131 version. Then I launched the .exe again to see something on the splash page (the option to change directory, just to see if it was there).. I then cancelled it right from that very first page, and the entire JAVA folder deleted.

I did this 3 times just to see the behavior and it behaved the same every time

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
launch the .exe version of the install and run to completion. then relaunch the .exe and click cancel

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      EXPECTED -
I was expecting the install to simply cancel and close the window.. not delete the whole folder containing my java install.
      ACTUAL -
      folder was deleted

ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
none - didn't realize until my product wouldn't work

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

      CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
      re-install
