FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
adam@DZSRDZS:~$ java -version
java version "1.8.0_144"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_144-b01)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.144-b01, mixed mode)
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Linux DZSRDZS 4.4.0-83-generic #106-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 26 17:54:43 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
I'Ve got the latest matching nvidia driver (340.102) for my GeForce 9400M-GS.
The Ubuntu using Gnome 3.
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
This is a problem persist since I first installed oracle jdk 8 to my Ubuntu. If I remember correctly, that was an earlier Ubuntu version so I think it's not an Ubuntu issue. Mainly I used the JDK for Netbeans to developing apps. I had to change to windows. That time OpenJDK had issues too. Thats why I didn't want to install it for a long time. I installed oracle java 8 from the web8upd PPA. But now I installed by downloaded from oracle. Neither work. Now I installed OpenJDK 8 to see if it's working cause I'm desperate. And it works like a charm. But I'd like to use the Oracle version of java, because maybe there is a performance and functional difference.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
e.g. Open Netbeans and try to open a project.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Elements are not overlapping.
ACTUAL -
At netbeans the project tree's elements, and in a file manager, the files are overlapping and you can see just the half of them and hard to click on, bad for the eye.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Installed OpenJDK, that is completely working fine.
