A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Java releases 8, 9, and 18.3 are included in the Java SE Public Updates table in the Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap. Java release 18.9 is, however, missing from the table.
The Oracle Java SE Support Roadmap includes releases 6, 7, 8, 9, 18.3, and 18.9. Since all previous releases have included a period of Public Updates, it appears that it's omission from the Java SE Public Updates table was in error.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Release 9 is included in the Java SE Public Updates table, as is release 18.3. But 18.9 is missing.
ACTUAL -
By omission from the Java SE Public Updates table, the reader might infer that there is no plan for any Public Updates for Java SE release 18.9. But, since there is no mention in any other documentation that there are not Public Updates planned for Java SE release 18.9, it's omission must be in error.
