Currently the compressed class space details are logged with PrintHeapAtGC flag. This flag is not commonly used. It would be beneficial to have the compressed class space usage information available in the GC logs in terms of troubleshooting metaspace and compressed class space memory related issues. We should log this information under PrintGCDetails flag which is most commonly used in production environments.
