ADDITIONAL SYSTEM INFORMATION :
Target system is Windows 10 (x64) version 1803.
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Installer runs but fails with error message regarding problem with sj180192.cab
Tried downloading (via Google Chrome browser) several times from https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html with same result.
Windows Powershell command Get-FileHash of installer produced incorrect sha256 checksum:
3F273E8ECCABC47384839D0E6841F720C01FFB865B71390CDAB46BD5C7F60D7E (incorrect)
588D0882646EAF43B6AC9E40E7DE4FB6045632CE49158521980CC632D42032CD (expected)
Manual extraction of %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Oracle\Java\jdk1.8.0_192_x64.cab using 7z fails with a "Data Error"
Possibly a corrupt download is cached in a transparent caching proxy somewhere?
The installer should test its own checksum and fail-fast, is that possible?
REGRESSION : Last worked in version 8u191
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Download jdk-8u192-windows-x64.exe and generate SHA256 checksum.
