Cleanup .gitignore file

      Description

        JDK-8223719 added .gitignore as a managed file. There is a FIXME comment that should be addressed.

        As a meta-issue, that comment has a typo that Phil noted in the review of JDK-8223719:

        > FIXME: Eventually we should include the needed patterns from .hgingore

        That should be ".hgignore"
