From a users feedback:
I don't know whether you have got around to this yet but I notice that the fix for bugJDK-8208652 does not remedy the launcher problem on macOS and javafx.
Of course it fixes the bug with parameters passed to main() but Java FX uses a launcher parameters structure and in my own app the filename argument is not passed through. It would take me too long to create a test case but someone needs to look at this sometime before jpackage is released. I do think you should take your time with this, it would be best to iron out all the issues. I like the latest build as my windows package has fixed all the issues.
