A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
I just downloaded the Minecraft technic launcher and it said I needed a java runtime environment 1.8.0 - 1.8.0_999.
when I pressed the ok button it took me to the download page. Whenever I try to download it a white screen comes up with text saying unrecognized argument.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Download the minecraft technic launcher
Install and open it
Press ok
Install what pops up
The white screen with text comes up instead of a download to the java runtime

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
To get the download of the java runtime
ACTUAL -
A white screen popped up with words saying "unrecognized argument"
