A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
hey guys. I don't know. maybe I'm wrong here. but it is really hard to find where to report something related to the javadoc.

we are using maven-javadoc-plugin to generate the javadoc. we only generate the javadoc from a subset of classes which are part of the javadoc classpath. but it seems that the search index for package always lists all packages whereas the package summary only list the available packages. this leads to broken links if you click on a package which was not generated.

short story: the content of all allpackages-index.html is not the same as the content package-search-index.js
the content of allpackages.index.html is fine. the content of packages-search-index.js is broken.
