Description
ADDITIONAL SYSTEM INFORMATION :
Windows 10, up to date. Java just updated
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Whenever I use a java application, at some point (and I cannot figure what triggers it, but it ALWAYS happens within 3-5min of starting to use a java application), it starts screen tearing anytime there's an update (e.g. a blinking cursor) or mouseover. It makes the application un-useable. This has occurred in every java application I've used (e.g., ImageJ, Icy). This has been reported rarely elsewhere. Unfortunately, I just started using these java applications, so I have no idea if this is new or has been present for years. Here is a link to pictures of someone having the same problem: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/weird-quot-tearing-quot-in-java-apps/td-p/141071 . Here is another (with a screenshot): https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/screen-tearing-outside-of-games-in-windows-10-dual-monitors.2468860/
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Not sure
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
No screen tearing...
ACTUAL -
Screen tearing
CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
No workaround. Has crippled my work...
FREQUENCY : always
