High CPU utilization with StackWalker API on JDK 11 after 7-10 days uptime

      Post-upgrade of JDK 8u151 to JDK 11.0.9 and rebuild of application with JDK 11, application running with Tomcat/Coherence stack consumes nearly 100% CPU in the JDK 11 StackWalker API calls after about 7-10 days of uptime.

      A detailed analysis using Dynatrace shows that the Stackwalker API is the suspected culprit.
