A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Synopsys DesignWare ARC HS processors (https://www.synopsys.com/designware-ip/processor-solutions/arc-hs-family.html) are modern and well supported in the open source ecosystem 32-bit processors. They are meant to be used as host processors in embedded systems. And in more and more cases featureful Java VM becomes a requirement. We're about to start work on JIT'ed version of the OpenJDK for ARC, but as a starting point it would be really convenient to add ARC support via "Zero Assembly Project" which is already known to work quite well. And to start submission of our changes to OpenJDK we need an issue open for that on https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/. So please consider creating an issue for us.
