In src/jdk.hotspot.agent, there is a "doc" directory, currently containing four html files (cireplay.html, clhsdb.html, hsdb.html, index.html and transported_core.html).

The "src/$MODULE/doc" construction is highly non-standard.

These files are not processed by the build. They are not copied to the end product.

The purpose of, and the audience for, these document files are not entirely clear. I suspect that the information here really should live on the wiki. (Or, if it is of important information for OpenJDK developers, it could be converted to markdown and moved to the top-most "doc" directory.)
