The M-Let feature is not known to have any active usage. A JEP (JDK-8285724) is in process to deprecate the M-Let classes for removal (currently a draft).

Meanwhile, a feature flag should be added to disable the use of these classes by default. This will catch any active usage and serve as an additional warning that M-Lets are on a course for deprecation and removal.
