The new GB18030-2022 standard requires support for code points beyond Unicode 6.0 which JDK7 is based upon. This enhancement is to incorporate those code points into JDK7 to comply with their `Implementation Level 1` requirements. Namely 36 characters (U+9FCC-U+9FEF) are shown below:
