The unified logging framework has a way of defining descriptions for particular combinations of tags in logTagSetDescriptions.cpp. These will be printed when using the -Xlog:help VM option, for instance.

However, there is currently only one description, leading to a situation where most tag sets are undocumented, and it is hard for users and developers to found out which tag sets can be used without searching through the source code.

This RFE is to suggest that descriptions should be added, at least for commonly used tag sets. This would provide a central place for users and developers to discover supported tag sets.
