[Lilliput/JDK17] Revert unnecessary test code modifications and fix the tests

      In Lilliput/JDK 17, we have plenty of cruft accumulated in the testing code. We need to make sure those tests still run in default modes (-UCOH), and maybe problemlisted with +UCOH.
