Artifacts on speed gauge when we move mouse over the menu buttons

      On the latest metal branch when we run run speed gauge demo and move mouse over the menu/home button of Ensmeble8 we see white patches and they are not getting cleared properly. Attached image for the same.

      Reverting the patch under https://bugs.openjdk.org/browse/JDK-8311042 resolves this issue. Looks like regression of JDK-8311042.
