We use superscript marks in JavaDoc to mark API elements as preview features or restricted methods. Currently, these superscript marks are not explicitly styled (except for font size), meaning they inherit style properties from their parent element. Since this is not the link but the container of the link, superscript links for code elements ofthen use a serif or sans-serif proportional font instead of the monospaced code font as the main link (see attached screenshot).
It would be visually more consistent to use a consistent style for superscript marks. This should include font family and weight. It may also be a good idea to define a background color to visually detatch superscript marks from the surrounding text.
