Roman recently reported hangs during JTREG testing with GenShen.

I have reproduced the hangs, which appear to be a live-locked JVM in a subset of the jtreg tests, when the tests are run serially on an otherwise heavily loaded machine.

More details will be filled in here after the steps for reproducing and stack retraces of the principal threads involved in the livelock are collected.
