2.11.8 claims about invokevirtual that "This is the normal method dispatch in the Java programming language."

Of course, it's extremely common for Java programs to invoke static methods and interface methods, and 'super' method invocations are also routine.

The sentence is wrong and unhelpful, and should just be deleted.
