To support reliable evolution of javafx controls, it would make sense to:
- enumerate the functional requirements for each javafx control
- develop a set of regression tests that validate the behavior, exercising each functional area such as: key mappings, navigation, selection, editing, mouse input, touch screen input, accessibility
