A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Crashes. That's it. Java control panel never opens, just produces crash report every time I click on "Reopen Java Control Panel".
Unistalled and reinstalled, rebooted Mac - still crashes but no longer brings up crash reporter. Java unusable.
Now uninstalled from system as clearly incompatible with MacOS 10.13
REGRESSION : Last worked in version 8
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Update JRE to JRE version 421
2. Open System Preferences
3. Click on Java control panel
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Java Control panel opens in a separate window
ACTUAL -
Java control panel does not open.
Java control panel crashes
Crash reporter logs that Java Control Panel has crashed
System Preferences panel shows "Reopen Java Control Panel" button
Clicking this button produces the same result.
