There is pausing code in AbstractPrimaryTimer that is marked as used for testing. However, the only test that is using it is not testing anything in primary timer itself but only in its own stub implementation. The code serves no other purpose and is therefore just confusing the code in AbstractPrimaryTimer.

The code is not used anywhere else.
