Request to backport Metaspace leak bug JDK-8308762 to Java 8 and 17

      A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
      Bug JDK-8308762 was fixed in version 22 which is great. We have some apps on Java 8 still and encounter this issue in those. Would it be possible to backport that one to to LTS versions including 8 and 17?
