      Applets are no longer supported and are removed from the RMI Specification.

      Problem

      The RMI Specification should not mention Applets, they are no longer supported.

      Solution

      Remove the mentions of Applet from the RMI Specification.

      Specification

      • Client.md: Section 4: The reference to Applet is removed
      • Intro.md: Section 1.2 Support callbacks to applets is removed
      • Properties.md: Section 8.1 The note about propertied being restricted for Applets is removed.
      • Protocol.md: The mention of Applet using URLConnection is removed.

      The patch of the changes is attached. The patch of each of the affected sections is attached.
