A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
I installed Open office and when I tried to run it, it said I needed to install a JRE. I installed java and restarted the computer. I still get the error message saying I need to install a JRE. I really like Open office and have used it for years. My computer crashed recently and I had to reset to system defaults.
