In Java 24, the following outdated "java" launcher options were deprecated for removal:
-verbosegc
-noclassgc
-verify
-verifyremote
-ss
-ms
-mx
(details inJDK-8340244)
Additionally, "-noverify" (and its Hotspot VM equivalent -Xverify:none) has been deprecated for removal since Java 13 (seeJDK-8214731).
The usages of these options prints a deprecation warning message. A few of these options might still be in use, so it would be good to not remove them (and continue with the deprecation warning) for a few more releases. On the other hand, out of those, the following 3 options are expected to be rarely used and we can remove them now:
-noclassgc
