On PPC64, the VM option SuperwordUseVSX can currently be enabled on processors that do not fully support the required VSX vector capabilities (notably Power8).
This can lead to misleading behavior, as Superword vectorization using VSX is not expected to work efficiently on such hardware.
This issue proposes adding an explicit warning or diagnostic message when SuperwordUseVSX is enabled on Power8.
