A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
for containers, we need minimum free ram, for stuff running outside the jvm. there should be a reasonable default. please introduce a parameter like MinFreeRam or minfreerampercentage, and, to match behavior of ms, mx, also a parameter MaxFreeRam. from the maximum available memory (the limit).

better even would be if this minfreeram is on the total memory consumption of jvm, including a default size of cache and code.
