On OEL 7, dragging and dropping connections and folders doesn't work unless the item is first dragged out over the main editor area. I.e if the object to be dragged isn't dragged outside of the JVM Browser it doesn't get the pointy mouse arrow and hence never moves.
Another workaround is to hold down the alt-key before doing the dragging.
