For some time, a port of Shenandoah to OpenJDK 8u has been maintained in the following repositories:

https://hg.openjdk.java.net/aarch64-port/jdk8u-shenandoah/ (integration)
https://hg.openjdk.java.net/shenandoah/jdk8/ (development)

With the eventual move of OpenJDK 8u to Github, we've decided that, rather than trying to also migrate the above forests, it would be simpler to rebase the Shenandoah changes as a single changeset on top of the new git tree and continue from there [0].

Hence, this bug is a request for the following repositories to be made available, initially as clones of https://github.com/openjdk/jdk8u

* https://github.com/openjdk/shenandoah-jdk8u
* https://github.com/openjdk/shenandoah-jdk8u-dev

These should also serve as a good testcase for when 8u & 8u-dev go live on Github in 2022.
