*Background*: Thomas has created this backport PR - https://github.com/openjdk/jdk8u-dev/pull/445 - with a patch I initially worked on. He has performed some final testing and minor changes in the process of proposing it for upstream inclusion.
We would prefer the final patch to credit myself as author with Thomas as contributor. However, Thomas is unable to change the author, as he is not yet a Committer, and I am unable to change the author because I'm not the current author of the pull request.
Is this intentional and we should just make do with myself as contributor? I guess we could achieve the same by me opening a new PR, but the aim was to give Thomas experience in driving a PR to completion.
