I have replaced ATI Mach32 with Matrox MGA Mystique.
With this configuration, this trouble does not happen though IME98SR1
is NOT applyed.

I have tested with Win98 applyed IME98 patch, but Win98 hangs.

Testing environment:
- S/W env: Win98 and JRE 1.2
- Video: ATI Mach32
- Display mode: 1280 x 1024, 256 colors
- See Comments for the information about swing demo used.

1) Just after applets start, it does not show properly like as
    case 4 stated in Discription of #4183843.
2) Then push any TAB of Swing, Win98 system get freeze.

Note: Win98 system does not get freeze under 640x480/High Color mode.
