The problem is simple :
 - Use the the sample that you can find in java demo (SwingSet):
    # cd /usr/demo/JAVA1.2/demo/jfc/SwingSet
    # java SwingSet

 - Try to open menu File or Options, then we cannot see anything. All the menu is black !!!!

It's really esay to reproduce. I have the problem on my U10/ Solaris 2.6 and PGX32. My customer have the problem on a E450 / Solaris 7 / PGX32.

So, we have the problem in Solaris 2.6 and 7.
We have the problem in 8bit or 24bit display
