JDK-2030877 | 1.4.0 | Philip Race | P4 | Resolved | Fixed | beta |
This concerns 2D printing in 1.3 (not earlier releases) and applies
to both Solaris & win32.
The attached example program tiles the top-left quarter of a page with
an opaque GIF and the bottom-left quarter with a transparent GIF.
It then draws strings from the serif & sansserif logical fonts such that
they span the width of the page such that the string starts over the tiled
images and ends on an clear untiled area.
In all cases the text appears of good quality, except for the bottom-left
quarter where the parts of the strings drawn over the transparent images are
of low quality.
