Justsystem, one of our licensee, reported the following issue.
This happend when they were validating the fix of 4299915.

On printing, the width of char. string on build-r become shorter than
that on jdk1.2.2-002.

  OS : Solaris 2.7
  Appli. : Ichitaro Ark (Justsystem's product)
  Printer : RICHO PC LASER NX-500
            ( PostScript level2 clone)
           <Note>
            RICHO : The printer vendor in Japan

They gave some postscript files.
These were created when they tried to print a document from <print>
operation of Ichitaro's menu.
I can confirm the difference by feeding these files to our PostScript
Printer.( lpr -P <printername> <filename>)

The characteristics of the attached ps files are as follows.
122-002_char.ps : Only Text string, printed on jdk1.2.2-002
122-002_image.ps : Text string on image printed on jdk1.2.2-002
13-build-R_char.ps : Only Text string, printed on build-r
13-build-R_image.ps : Text string on image printed on build-r
