under windows the setup adds the java plugin control
panel to the settings folder. it's a useful tool
to control the plugin, however it can be better...

you shuld add capabilities to this tool so that a
user can control much more options for the jvm, not
only for the plugin. i think about default parameters
for the jvm, setting and editing the classpath, adding
and removing javax extension from the gui, setting the
default look n feel for the applications, etc.

you should also add the ability to change look and feel,
and the option to browse for a jvm with the file selector.

if you look at the other control panel programs from
microsoft, you'll see that they're much more user friendly,
so learn from them and improve the plugin panel!
