Tested with Merlin-b54 on Solaris sparc 2.6/7/8 and x86 7/8 with Netscape 4.x.
Disabling "show Java Console" option, maximized Java Console appears.
According to Evaluation of Bugid 4410656;
if user checks "Show Java Console" option - on Solaris with Netscape 4.x it would mean "show Java Console maximized"
if user does not check this option, it would mean "show Java Console minimized".
Therefore, if user does not check "show Java Console" option, minimized Java Console should appear.
To reproduce;
1) Install Netscape 4.x and Merlin-b54
2) Set the NPX_PLUGIN_PATH environment variable to the directory containing the javaplugin140.so file.
3) Execute <jre>/bin/ControlPanel.
4) Disabling "show Java Console" in Basic tag and click Apply
5) Launch Netscape browser and go to the url below;
http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/demos/applets.html
5) ex, Click "A Clock"
Then, You can see maximized Java Console appears on display.
