The issues described in Bug ID 4423556 remains. I've tried everything I can.
I've uninstalled Netscape, IE and my Java JDK and JRE.
I've reinstalled the browsers.
I've reinstalled the most recent JDK, 1.3.1 release candidate 2.
The ActiveX status for the plug-in is still "damaged."
There are still 2 entries in the ActiveX panel.
How is it that 1.3.0 did not seem to require any dependencies and yet work?
How is the plug-in supposed to be dependent upon a file that doesn't even exist
on my machine? On a path that is never created on my machine?
When will this be truly fixed? Or at least how can I realistically correct this
problem? Our consitutents rely on the plug-in for multiple distributed
applications - a solution is critical.
