Verified
Tested bundle:
j2sdk-1_4_0-beta-bin-b63-solsparc-01_may_2001.sh
Tested environment:
Solaris 8 zh_TW.UTF-8
Problem found:
Using the attached swing_awt_tests.tar, we found that toggling input method does not change status field.
Steps to reproduce:
1. untar swing_awt_tests.tar
2. cd into awt/classes directory and perform the test using the following command:
% java awttest -command some_localized_characters
3. focus your cursor on awt.TextField
4. press Ctrl+space to toggle input method from [English/European] to Chinese.
Note that the status region on the lower-left corner of the test dialog does not change to Chinese. But trying to compose a Chinese character works fine. We are able to compose and commit Chinese characters.
